Keep moving forward!

The story goes that the Devil announced that he would be selling some of the tools he had been using for many years to deceive, corrupt and manipulate people. On that day, he took a table and laid out all the tools with the price tags for anyone to purchase. There was hatred, jealousy, envy, greed, selfishness, -you name it, he had everything on sale. However, on that same table was a tool quite different and more expensive from the others. This tool was really simple and worn out. 

“What’s this one?” Someone asked

“Oh, that’s discouragement,” replied the Devil.

“Why’s it so expensive?”

“Well, this is the most useful and powerful tool to me than any of the others. Most people can see the other tools coming and stop me. But with discouragement, I sneak up on them, a little at a time, I get inside and use my other tools”

Believe it or not, this is the tool that the Devil has been using to keep you down, to make you lose hope in God and become spiritually tired. As we are on a journey to the kingdom of Heaven, his main goal is to distract us from our heavenly destination. This is why it is so crucial to stay focused and connected to Jesus our wonderful shepherd. Like Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says ” The Lord is faithful and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.” Don’t let discouragement stop you in any way. Keep your spirits up and keep moving forward!
