Have you ever wondered if God is truly on your side? Amid life’s uncertainties and the challenges we face, it can sometimes feel as though God is distant, indifferent, or even against us. This perception can be especially strong when life gets tough, relationships falter, or our circumstances seem overwhelming. But the heart of the gospel message reminds us profoundly that God is indeed for us.
The apostle Paul captures this beautifully in Romans 8:31: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” This simple yet powerful truth reassures us that God’s intentions toward us are filled with compassion, redemption, and purpose. The gospel message demonstrates this vividly—the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ were all divine acts intended for our good, offering hope and restoration to each of us, right here and now.
What would it look like if we embraced and embodied this truth in our daily lives? Imagine how it could transform our relationships, workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities if we became known as people unmistakably “for” others—actively supporting, encouraging, and uplifting those around us.
As we reflect on the gospel message, let’s embrace and act on this incredible good news: God is for us, not against us. Let this truth inspire our interactions and transform our communities.
In what practical way can you demonstrate to someone today that God is for them, not against?
