Words of Hope – That I may know Him

Over the past months, my wife and I have watched closely as our now 18-month-old son grew in stature and developed his senses. One beautiful sight is how his eyes light up when he sees his older sister especially when she returns home in the evening from her daycare. We saw that as he grew and they spent more time together, he began to know her and love her and look forward to her return from daycare when they could be together again to play, bond and spend even more time together.

As sons and daughters of God, Jesus calls us to spend time with Him so we may know Him. In a world full of sounds, voices, and noises all competing for our attention, God calls us to a place of quietude to KNOW Him (Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God). God invites us to a life of knowing him in Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;”
Join us on this Sabbath as we explore how God desires that we have eternal life by having an intimate knowledge of Him – “And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee, the only true God”.
