Words of Hope – Reckless Love

Words of Hope – Reckless Love

By Pastor Rhoda Klein Miller

Ever get a song stuck in your head on repeat? Do you catch yourself humming or lip-syncing it? Or worse have someone else point out you are! This happens to me often because my gym class uses the same workout track for the entire month.

But this week I had a song stuck on repeat in my head and it was a good thing. I’m so glad our Worship team introduced “Reckless Love” for our praise time. It’s a song based on Romans 5:8 and Luke 15. I need to hear that God “chases me down, fights ’til I’m found, leaves the ninety-nine” again and again.  It is also a reminder that when we join His mission, we must care more for others than ourselves.

If our church was a thousand strong, our priority would still be for the wandering one. Following Jesus footsteps will lead us into a paradox of reckless sacrifice because of the security of His love.
