Words of Hope – Freedom Session

By Pastor Rhoda Klein Miller

In January of this year a small team of OAC volunteers prayed over the upcoming twenty Thursdays. They made a commitment to support each other and total strangers in the ministry of healing and discipleship through the Freedom Session course. This weekend we celebrate the completion of that impressive journey for over two dozen participants.  Witnessing the transformative power of Jesus in these individuals continually motivated the group leaders. OAC’s vision and values were lived out.

God’s statement “it is not good for man to be alone” (Gen 2:18) is not only about a life partner but the extended family and community that would emerge. It was God’s design for us to need each other even before sin corrupted our hearts.  We are to hold each other accountable, encourage and pray for one another. Small groups that serve or study together help provide pockets of community as our church grows in size.  Please plan now to participate in a small group this Fall. Do it for the sake of your spiritual and personal vitality.
