A Personal Relation

A Personal Relation

By Rhoda Klein miller

Something felt different this week. If you had to guess upon seeing me you might think I was given new springy shoes or that I must be wearing my favourite cozy sweater or had just returned from a spa trip. That combination of refreshment and peace did not come from anything I ingested or location I visited but followed extended time in prayer. Over sixty requests for prayer came in response to my invitation on Facebook last weekend. Many heavy and heart-breaking that drove me to my knees but as I lifted these loved ones and turned them over to the Father in prayer, my confidence in Him consumed the chaos of their situations. Jesus longs for us to experience a composure of calmness stemming from a personal relationship with Him. Philippians 4:6-7 promises, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Are you facing a situation that is confusing — that is tearing you apart? Do you lack a clear course of action? Jesus knows exactly what you really need and can provide it. He is committed to seeing you become all He created you to be. Talk to Him about it and trust His guidance.

If you have a story to share about how prayer has impacted your life, we’d love to hear it! submit it at info@oacvancouver.ca
